Happy New Year and welcome (back) to the Validated Practices Initiative's website. We have a lot planned in the coming months.

In January and February we will be introducing evidence-based instructional resources across grade levels and content areas. We want these documents to be useful and thought-provoking for teachers, administrators, other school personnel, parents, and community members. In the opening months of 2006 we will also be launching our Discussion Board for users to log in and contribute to, sharing valuable information about the successes and struggles you've had or are having in implementing inclusive educational practices that contribute to effective outcomes for students with and without disabilities in Louisiana.

Here's to a 2006 in which multiple stakeholder groups collaborate on promoting effective instructional practices and work concertedly and creatively to improve student outcomes.
